Activating faith communities for climate justice
Pope Francis' encyclical on the climate crisis will serve as a backdrop to explore how faith communities are responding - and could respond - to the climate crisis. Rev. Jim Antal, author of "Climate Church, Climate World", and a leader of the interfaith climate movement, will share how congregations around the nation are taking action. Anna Johnson, North America Senior Programs Manager with the Laudato Si’ Movement, will share how Seattle-area faith communities are engaged in the movement.
After you register, you'll receive an email with the Zoom link and a link to watch the film. For those attending in person, lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First Church Seattle, 180 Denny Way, after the 10:30 worship service. A $5 donation is requested for lunch. The program will begin at 12:00 noon and end by 1:15 p.m.
